Seming and Lina HOGANSON's homestead was in the SE corner of Section 36. In 1887 they had 80 acres next to Lars O. Teigen. If we zoom in a little more one can see it better. Lars' future wife, Emma (Roe) Teigen was the sister of Albert Roe, who would eventually marry Seming and Lina's daughter, Mina.

By 1914, Sam's farm included 160 acres in the SE corner of Section 36 of Belmont Township in Jackson County. His surname is still listed as Horseth.

This same year we see that S. H. Horseth also has a plot of land NE of the town of Jackson.
