A Sad Death

The many friends of the family of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hogenson who live three miles north of town will extend their sincere sympathy in the death of their seventeen year old son, Oscar, which occurred at the Heron Lake hospital on last Friday forenoon. The young man was at Heron Lake when he underwent an operation for appendicitis and was getting along nicely when a lung complication set in and all that medical aid could do proved of no avail in saving his life. Oscar was a very bright young man and had a large circle of friends who will deeply mourn his untimely death. The funeral was held from the Norwegian church of this city on Tuesday afternoon the sermon was conducted by Rev. Johnson, of Wells, the church being crowded and the body laid to rest in Riverside cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Hogenson and family have the sympathy of their wide circle of friends in their great sorrow.

His brothers, Herman and Charles, of Havana, N. D., and sister, Mrs. Albert Roe, of Westbrook, were present at the funeral.
